NAHATÉ is a bespoke luxury hospitality concept, blending avant-garde design, immersive storytelling, and curated culinary experience. Led by Jenya Makeeva, the interiors are the result of months of dedicated work, brought to life in collaboration with a team of exceptional creatives, including Yana Svetlova, Zahar Paints, Alterna, and Zuma Design.
Together, they’ve created a space where every element feels intentional yet inviting. Bold architectural geometry and structured luxury are softened by organic, feminine references drawn from nature. Symbolic details — animals, spiritual totems, and hand-painted narratives — shape a "jungle meets jewel box" aesthetic, expressed through eclectic layering and maximalist precision. Every artwork, from murals to embroidered silk screens, is hand-drawn and custom-painted without stencils. All furnishings are bespoke.
To realise the vision for the Jacob & Co. lounge and elevator area, NAHATÉ underwent a six-month creative process, from initial sketches to final samples, culminating in the application of over 12,000 sheets of Italian 22k gold leaf. Three professional sculptors were flown to Dubai to hand-sculpt each bas-relief leaf across nearly two months of intensive work. Only the finest British and Italian materials were used, with day and night shifts ensuring standards and timelines were met without compromise.
Walls and ceilings were hand-painted using Mylands, the 150-year-old marble-based paint also found in London’s National Gallery, delivering a museum-grade finish throughout. The work was completed by a Gulf-based family atelier established in 1997, now in its third generation. Traditionally reserved for private commissions by the UAE’s ruling families, NAHATÉ marks their first-ever commercial collaboration — a testament to the emotional and artistic significance of the project.
Creative freedom was central to the process, encouraging spontaneous, instinctive design choices that give NAHATÉ its unmistakable character.
